…so obviously, that this morning I was reminded of these ice blocks in the photo, pulled from my swimming pond in February earlier this year; today its water temp was down to 12.5°C.

Similar for on the #wakeboard today (a holiday in Germany) – ‘twas lovely, autumn sun, few people, no queues, and we all felt like roughing it: temp of that lake was down to 15.5°C. That’s not really a problem with a wetsuit, and by avoiding too risky jumps I can (sometimes) manage to keep largely dry. That wakeboarding lake is much larger than my pond, so it takes more time to cool down. 

Freiburg is the hottest town in Germany, yes (in all respects :), but now summer is gone for sure…
