This year's #ISCEV http://iscev.org symposium was perticularly nice, methinks. Many excellent scientific contributions, especially from our host country (no cargo cult science there!), smooth proceedings, everything just fine. One major complaint: too much good food!

The “Olympics" at the end at lake Bled were also particularly well organised, quite funny with singing and boating. We should always have singing (even if “my” team doesn't win)!
Furthermore, Lubljana (the 2nd “l” is silent) is a beautiful city, with wonderful people. You feel safe, everything's clean, people smile, a good mood pervades all. Everyone speaks English, thanks to non-dubbed movies/TV.
